Hi folks!
Well, the weather has turned cold here in Delaware, there are few leaves left on the trees, and the days are much shorter and darker. What an opportunity this season offers! Winter calls us to hibernate at a soul level. When I think of hibernation, I think of rest, slowing down, reflecting, just being so that all the seeds that are ruminating in the deep dark can receive the nourishment that the deep dark offers, which by the way is a necessary process towards the explosion of spring. Advent is an invitation to engage this season of hibernation, to dwell in the darkness and wait. Over the next few weeks as I dwell in the deep dark, I will be offering reflections along the way. Hope to see you here!
"If I say, "Surely the darkness will cover me, and the light around me turn to night," darkness is not dark to you, O Lord; the night is as bright as the day; darkness and light to you are both alike." Psalm 139: 10-11
